Naphtha Impurity analysis
All refineries manufacture products from crude oil and its derivatives. These products consist of a wide range of fuel oils and gasoline and also include naphtha, asphalts, coke, additives, waxes, lubricating oils, solvents, etc. Sulfur and sulfur compounds are present to some extent in almost all crude oil reserves. A sensitive, specific analyzer for total sulfur content is required to avoid unnecessary scrubber regenerations or replacements, or to monitor the performance of hydrotreating. One of the best measurement techniques is dry colorimetry which is very accurate and precise for determination of impurities in naphthalene.
